Pete, The widely misunderstood, renegade hydroponic hot sauce guy.

Catch him on the run!
From one look at his intense beady little eyes you can tell this guy is up to something. Notice the anguish on his face as he struggles to bring the best hot sauce in the world to your table. Everybody knows that the key to a great hot sauce is the pepper. Pete spends night and day servicing his batch of hydroponically cultivated habanero and scotch bonnet peppers, so that they continually bask in a perfect environment. Through the years over at the Hydro-Mountain, classic hybrid strains have been cross pollinated to produce an excellent mutation! You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that it's these unique peppers that make the difference.
A day in the life of Perlite Pete.
Typically, Pete is up at 4:00 A.M. Like a watch dog he is out there checking PH levels, and assuring optimum growing conditions. By 6:00 A.M he has harvested many gallon containers full of his precious peppers. Suddenly, a D.E.A helicopter comes whizzing over the back side of the hydro-mountain and hovers sixty feet off the ground over Pete's fully equipped interactive hydroponic shade house . Guns and cameras blazing, a loudspeaker sounds "Stop in the name of the law ". Pete yells back, " Stop what you bone head, I am just growing peppers" "Ya right, the cops reply." They descend on the landing strip at the hydro-mountain, take a look around and leave satisfied. Satisfied because there is no contraband, and doubly satisfied because they leave with a case of Pete's famous brand courtesy on the entire gang behind the sauce..
On a serious note:
There has been a lot of talk in the hot sauce world these days about high velocity hot sauces that have taken heat to new levels. These are great for huge restaurants who want to make a thirty gallon batch of chile, but don't really pan out for the average Joe who wants to spice up his chicken wings or make his girl friend horny. The creator of HydroHot is a guy who is kind of a throw back to the old days of hot sauce. When things like ingredients and craftsmanship played a larger part in the menu selection. Like a lighthouse to a lost ship at sea he is sending a beacon to the rest of the hot sauce community. Let's get back to basics and focus on the things that matter. Pete is a guy who has traveled to the end of the earth to find and create the perfect brand. Like his great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grand-daddy before him he utilizes hydroponic technology to produce a blend like no other.
A lot of customers inquire, "Hey Pete, how did you get started with this gig?"
Usually Pete will respond quickly, " Hey man, it's in my blood" !"

But don't let him fool ya; he relies on a lot more than just those coveted manuscripts passed down from family members. Modern day Pete looks to references such as Hydroponic Food Production by Resh or CEA Hydroponic Food production placed on the web by the folks over at Cornell University. Every day Pete lives by the old saying, "You're only as good as your last pepper". Every day he has to live down the stigma created by all those marijuana growers that have created a negative image for hydroponic farming. He is here to say that hydroponics can be used for good instead of evil. Hydroponics can be used by kids age 5 or the elderly age 95. There is nothing quite like growing an eight foot tomato on your concrete porch. Ideally, anybody can maintain a nice little herb farm without getting too bent or getting their fingernails dirty. Because home units are set on a pump and timer, even the novice gardener could be assured that the plants will be fed a nutrient rich solution as many times a day as they need. As far as we are concerned "Soil is a four letter word".
Flash forward to modern day hydro-mountain where there is a vibrant hot sauce community. Complete with research staff, electronic monitoring equipment, cafeteria and tour guides. Hydroponic engineers have been flown in from all around the world to discuss the latest trends and techniques. The Ware brothers have committed one-third of retained earnings to public education and R & D. They stand behind their sauce!
